Garden Club

Garden ClubOverview

The Alford Garden Club has been an important part of the town’s social fabric since 1932. The Club’s objective is to promote interest in gardening, to aid in conservation and to further village beautification. During the growing season, club members plant and maintain flowers at town intersections and in front of town buildings. They also provide decorations around the holidays and clean roadsides for Earth Day.

The Club, which is open to anyone, has 41 regular members and an unlimited number of honorary members. Membership offers a chance to expand your social network and learn stimulating new ideas about gardening. Contributions to the beautification fund are welcome so the club can continue to keep Alford looking lovely.

Regular meetings held on the second Wednesday of every month from May through October. The December meeting is a covered-dish luncheon which includes invited guests.
