I:  Call to Order:  The meeting was called to order at 3:01 p.m.

II:  Approval of Minutes

Minutes from the previous AHDC Meeting, October 30, 2023, were unanimously approved.

III:  ADA Access Plan

The board met to discuss the edm and Foresight Land Services site plans. Each member had reviewed the plans and the group agreed that we would like clarification on

several items. The list of these items will be shared with Highway Department Superintendent T. J. Horrigan, the Select Board , edm and Foresight Land Services. Jim will request that we be party to any upcoming meeting regarding the site plan.

IV:  Winter Lights

Supplies of lights and batteries have been replenished for the current season. Shirley continues to search for musical entertainment. Alice and Shirley purchased one large tree for the School House, but will ask TJ to purchase two additional smaller trees for in front of the Town Hall.

Shirley will provide lights for the shrubs in front of the parsonage.

Carol will pick up 130 cider donuts to be donated by Guido’s on the afternoon of the

2nd. Tricia will be her back-up if Carol is not available.

Ruth will bring cider. We will gather at 3:30 p.m. and decide whether refreshments will be outdoors, or depending on the weather, held in the town Hall.

V:  250th Anniversary of Incorporation

A new group is in formation to spearhead a celebration of the 250th anniversary of incorporation of the town of Alford. Tricia recruited a group of about 10 people, with the promise of more to join as the plans progress.

Shirley, Tricia and Alice attended the first meeting and made it clear to the group that AHDC would support their activities if requested, but that we would not head up the Celebration Committee. There were many exciting ideas discussed.  The group plans to meet frequently over the next few months to firm up their plans and broaden their membership. They will present their ideas to the Select Board for their approval. Tricia noted that there were no young families with school-aged children on the committee. Julie will send her some names to be contacted.
